The Budo Book Review is seeking quality articles and essays that cover a variety of topics related to martial arts.
Submissions should include appropriate references and bibliography. The editorial staff at Budo Book Review comes from a variety of academic and professional disciplines; at this time, there is no prescribed citation method—only the requirement that work be appropriately cited according to one established method when necessary, e.g. CMS, MLA, APA.
Please send materials to be considered as an attachment (.doc or .docx) to [email protected]. If you include images, please also add as attachments and notate in the submission or in a separate attached document, where these should go with the work. In your subject line, include “Budo Book Review (Review/Article/Essay) Submission”. In the body of the email, please also include a brief About the Author statement of no more than 500 words, written in the third-person. You may include a photograph for this.
Upon receipt of your work, the editorial staff will review the submission. If edits are suggested, the submission will be returned with appropriate notes.
In the event Budo Book Review choses to publish a submission, the author will be notified.
